Psychiatric Times - series of articles regarding depression

These articles provide a good overview of the current state of the art in the treatment of depression. They are well-written with just a taste of jargon.

About all this

It's said that Winston Churchill would refer to his depressive episodes as the "black dog." His periods of depression were deep and powerful, making it all the more amazing that he was able to accomplish what he did. Nevertheless, this catchy phrase, black dog, maligns one of the steadfast comforters in my life, our black Lab, Marley.

Winnie can call it what he chooses, but I'll just call it depression. This blog chronicles some of my experiences in recovery from major depression. I'll try to limit what might be construed as advice because I am still far from certain what works. I'll just try to tell the story.
